Stress Awareness Month 2024: Join our Themed Chat Rooms


Join us this April themed chat rooms to mark Stress Awareness Month. A space for anyone affected by gambling to talk about emphasized And emphasized management.

We Annual Report 2022-23 found that 80% of people called our National Gambling Helpline or attended our treatment session reporting anxiety or stress as a result of gambling – higher than the other impacts listed.

The theme for this year’s Stress Awareness Month is #Little by littlebecome aware of the impact small, consistent positive actions can have on your well-being.

That Stress Management Society recommends implementing manageable adjustments to your daily routine that can result in significant mental health improvements over time, including prioritizing sleep, exercise, or reaching out and connecting with your support network.

Managing Stress

We encourage those accessing our dedicated peer support space to chat about their mental health, the role of stress in their lives, stress management and gambling-related harm during Stress Awareness Month.

We forum will also run a series of weekly topics that align with these three main themes.

Interested in supporting our chat room?

We are recruiting for Online Peer Supporters to provide one-on-one and group support to individuals who gamble and those affected by the gambling of others. Drawing on their own experiences of the harms of gambling, volunteers will support others digitally as part of our Online Support Service and will include email support as well as facilitating our forums and chat rooms.

Full training and ongoing support will be provided to enable you to use your life experience to work with our team as an Online Peer Supporter, providing support to everyone affected by gambling.
